Valentin’s Day Menu: Pineapple and Apple Fritters

At the meeting of the Olympic gods, Eris appeared uninvited and threw a golden apple with the inscription “Kallisti” (for the fairest) among the goddesses. The result was the massacre of thousands of Troy’s inhabitants. You might know this story from the movie with Brad Pitt. It’s a part of the “When a man loves a Woman” series. The most Valentine’s Day-like story, the most Valentine’s Day-like song. Released on an album for the first time in 1966.

Even earlier in the Christian paradise, everything went in a quadrangle: a woman, a man, his snake, and an apple.

As a pair with the apple, which has been a symbol of feminine beauty and men’s foolishness since those events, we have the pineapple (appreciate that I didn’t rhyme it with something, although it was tempting). The tropical apple.
