these expectations are a kind of what Trungpa Rinpoche called "spiritual materialism" and ngakpa Chongyam called "spiritual gorilla". It's not "spirituality". Spirituality is when you get up in the morning and after going to the toilet, you remember not only to dry the water but also to wash the shit from the toilet.
